Sweet pea belongs to the fabaceae family - the nitrogen fixers of the plant world. These plants provide nutrients for themselves and all other plants that fall within their root zone. In other words, they are the nurters of the plant world - much like our beloved cancers. Blue is associated with cancer, but more closely with Neptune - the planet of dreams, illusion, and fantasy that is making a square to this new moon and encouraging us to take new inspired and imaginative action on that which we care most dearly about.

If it wasn’t for their name, you’d have little reason to expect the throrns beneath the soft silvery petals. Much like cancer, knifeblade carries the tones to symbolize cancers ruling planet - the moon - but the thorns speak to cancers tendency to fight back and defend when being attacked.
